Istanbul, Turkey – Numarine has lifted the curtain on the 40MXP, the latest and largest model in its acclaimed XP Series, marking a significant step forward in the shipyard’s explorer yacht lineup. The 40-metre superyacht, launched to strong market praise in July, represents an evolution of the successful 37XP—this time with an amplified focus on outdoor living and social spaces tailored to Mediterranean cruising.
Several units of the 40MXP are currently under construction, with two scheduled for delivery to owners in the coming year.
A Mediterranean-Minded Explorer
The “MXP” designation stands for Mediterranean Explorer, underscoring a design philosophy that blends true long-range capability with the relaxed, open-air lifestyle associated with the region. Naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini, while Can Yalman has shaped the exterior lines, merging robust explorer styling with refined Mediterranean elegance.

As a natural progression from the 37XP, the 40MXP maintains the XP Series’ signature vertical bow, strong geometry and expansive glazing, but introduces a more open, social aft layout. Enlarged outdoor decks, an eight-metre full-beam beach club and a generous swim platform highlight the yacht’s lifestyle-driven evolution.
Aft Deck as the Social Heart
The aft deck serves as the yacht’s main hub, offering an alfresco dining area, a bar and lounge, and an aft-facing pool with a glass transom. This full-beam space flows seamlessly into the yacht’s large hydraulic swim platform, creating a direct, uninterrupted connection to the water.
Additional standout spaces include a vast flybridge, spacious upper deck and a welcoming main deck. Despite its lifestyle focus, the 40MXP retains its explorer credentials with a substantial tender deck capable of carrying a 9-metre tender, two full-size jet skis and extra water toys.
Built for the Crossing
Beneath its stylish exterior, the 40MXP offers serious range. An optimised hull delivers an impressive 6,000-nautical-mile transatlantic capability at 8 knots. Standard propulsion comes from twin MAN 800hp engines, with an upgrade option to MAN 900hp. Noise and vibration have been significantly reduced through acoustic engineering solutions developed with Silent Line, enhancing comfort on extended voyages.

Custom Interiors, Signature Luxury
Inside, the yacht embodies Numarine’s hallmark of space, brightness and contemporary luxury. Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests across six suites, including a full-beam master cabin on the main deck and two additional customizable staterooms. For the first 40MXP, the owner requested light, modern interiors with an emphasis on natural illumination through large windows.
Confidence and Comfort at Sea
Numarine designed the 40MXP to create an atmosphere that is both reassuring and relaxed—combining the security of a genuine ocean-going explorer with the comfort and openness of a luxury Mediterranean yacht.

Commenting on the early reception, Ömer Malaz, Chairman of Numarine, says: “The 40MXP has already generated strong market enthusiasm, appealing to both loyal Numarine clients and new owners drawn to its unique balance between rugged capability and lifestyle-driven design.”
He adds: “It reflects our commitment to innovation in the explorer segment, pushing boundaries in comfort, design and functionality. Most importantly, it highlights our strength as a boutique shipyard—flexible enough to personalize each build while consistently delivering engineering excellence and contemporary style. The 40MXP reaffirms our leadership in pairing long-range performance with modern luxury.”
