Abu Dhabi, UAE – Yas Marina has taken a major step forward in competitive sailing by hosting the UAE’s first-ever 69F Regatta, introducing a cutting-edge racing format to Abu Dhabi’s waterfront. Held in partnership with 69F Sailing, the event will run until March 2026 and marks a significant milestone for the region’s sailing and maritime sports scene.

The regatta showcases the 69F, the world’s only full-foiling, one-design monohull yacht, renowned for its speed, technological innovation, and precision handling. Inspired by the high-performance hydrodynamics of the America’s Cup, the format delivers an intense and visually striking racing experience, setting a new standard for competitive sailing in the UAE.

Races will be staged across three dedicated race weeks — 19–25 January, 9–15 February, and 9–15 March 2026 — with international teams competing along the Yas Bay Waterfront. The event offers residents and visitors a front-row view of elite sailing action, adding a fresh dimension to Abu Dhabi’s sporting calendar.

The launch of the 69F Regatta at Yas Marina underscores the UAE’s growing commitment to world-class sailing and yachting events, while reinforcing its reputation as a global maritime hub.
