Groot-Ammers, Netherlands – Zeelander Yachts has delivered the most powerful and fastest Zeelander 8 ever built, marking a new milestone for the Dutch boutique yacht builder. The bespoke luxury yacht is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from 23–26 September 2026.
Powered by four Volvo Penta IPS-1350 engines producing a combined 4,000 horsepower, the latest Zeelander 8 achieved a top speed of 40 knots during sea trials—the highest performance ever recorded for the model. Despite its impressive speed, the yacht also sets a new benchmark for onboard comfort, registering just 65dBA inside the cabin at full throttle, making it the quietest vessel in its class. At an economical cruising speed of 7 knots, the yacht offers an exceptional range of 2,700 nautical miles, while delivering a range of 630 nautical miles at its 32-knot cruising speed.

According to Sietse Koopmans, Founder and Chairman of Zeelander Yachts, the new yacht reflects the vision of an experienced owner who spent extended periods living aboard a Zeelander 7 before commissioning this larger model.
“Built entirely bespoke in the Netherlands, this yacht is the result of an owner who truly understands the Zeelander philosophy,” said Koopmans. “Every detail was shaped by real-world experience, resulting in one of the finest Zeelander 8s we have ever created.”
Designed for Independent Ownership
The new Zeelander 8 has been specifically configured for owner-operation, eliminating the need for a permanent crew while maintaining the luxury and capability expected from a yacht of its size. Low-maintenance materials, intuitive Volvo IPS propulsion, joystick docking and simplified onboard systems allow for effortless handling and stress-free cruising.

Koopmans noted that many owners value the privacy and freedom that come with operating their own yacht, describing the experience as an escape from the demands of daily life without the complexities of managing crew.
Bespoke Interior Inspired by Experience
Every Zeelander 8 features a unique main deck arrangement, and this latest yacht was designed around the owner’s favourite elements from his previous Zeelander 7.

The spacious main salon centres around an oversized dining area ideal for entertaining, while the open galley seamlessly connects with the aft deck through Zeelander’s signature curved sliding window. An enlarged L-shaped seating area replaces the traditional aft bar, creating a sheltered and comfortable outdoor lounge that became the owner’s preferred relaxation space.
Rare Materials and Dutch Craftsmanship
The interior showcases one of the rarest materials ever used aboard a Zeelander yacht: swamp oak, a unique timber recovered from riverbeds after decades underwater, where natural minerals transform it into an exceptionally dark, richly textured wood. Combined with exclusive leather finishes in Porsche Agate, the interior delivers a sophisticated and highly distinctive atmosphere.
Built for Adventure
Designed for an active lifestyle on the water, the yacht accommodates a Williams 435 jet tender, Seabobs and flyboards within dedicated storage integrated into the hull. Additional features include gyro stabilisation, an electric scooter and optional crew accommodation when required, while remaining perfectly suited for independent ownership.

Built in very limited numbers at Zeelander’s family-owned shipyard in the Netherlands, the Zeelander 8 continues the company’s tradition of combining timeless design, exceptional Dutch craftsmanship and fully bespoke luxury to create yachts tailored to each owner’s individual lifestyle.
