Shura Island, KSA – Four Seasons has officially opened its newest luxury destination, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island, offering guests an immersive blend of regenerative tourism, environmental stewardship, and world-class hospitality along Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
Located on the secluded eastern tip of Shura Island, the resort is positioned on the island’s longest beachfront and is powered entirely by renewable energy. Just 25 minutes from Red Sea International Airport, the destination combines sustainable luxury with a wide range of land and sea adventures designed for travellers of all ages.

Rainer Stampfer, President of Global Operations, Hotels and Resorts at Four Seasons, said the resort reflects the company’s commitment to combining sophisticated hospitality with responsible tourism. Developed in partnership with Red Sea Global, the property aims to offer guests a unique opportunity to experience Saudi Arabia’s natural beauty while supporting conservation efforts.
The LEED Platinum-certified resort features 149 rooms and suites, alongside 31 private residences. Inspired by the historic desert trade caravans of the region, the accommodations are designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape while providing direct access to nature.
Guests can choose from six dining venues showcasing Levantine, Mediterranean, and plant-forward cuisine, complemented by extensive wellness facilities and a luxury spa. Sustainability remains a central focus throughout the guest experience, from eco-conscious operations to educational conservation initiatives.
Shura Island offers a diverse range of activities, including paddleboarding, kayaking, e-foiling, diving, and snorkelling within one of the world’s largest barrier reef systems. Visitors can also engage with the resort’s Marine Discovery Centre, which highlights ongoing conservation programs and the protection of more than 200 endemic marine species. Opportunities to participate in coral and mangrove restoration projects provide guests with a deeper connection to the destination’s environmental mission.
For adventure seekers, the surrounding landscape offers guided rock climbing, abseiling, and zipline experiences set against the dramatic backdrop of the Hijazi Mountains. Meanwhile, the region’s pristine desert environment creates ideal conditions for stargazing after sunset.

The resort’s wellness offering draws inspiration from the natural elements of the Red Sea, featuring signature treatments that incorporate local botanicals, sea salt, and traditional regional rituals. Among the highlights are the Red Sea Rejuvenation Massage and the Hammam Botanical Experience, both designed to promote relaxation and holistic wellbeing.
Families can enjoy tailored experiences for children and teenagers, while golf enthusiasts have access to exclusive tee times at Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island championship golf course.

General Manager Kai Dieckmann described the resort as a destination where luxury extends beyond comfort and exclusivity to embrace meaningful connections with nature and local culture. He noted that the property represents a new model of regenerative tourism, encouraging guests to contribute positively to the places they visit while creating lasting memories.
To mark its opening, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island is offering a special introductory package for early guests, alongside a range of tailored experiences, including dedicated golf packages.
