Borgia, Italy – Invictus is set to make a major statement at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 with the world premiere of the ST550 Deep Horizon, the latest creation from Atelier Invictus. Developed as an exclusive interpretation of the ST550, the new yacht reflects the Italian shipyard’s growing focus on bespoke design, material innovation and highly personalised solutions.

The ST550 Deep Horizon is the result of an extensive design research project undertaken by Atelier Invictus in collaboration with designer Fabio Rotella. The project explores the relationship between materials, light and the sea, introducing a distinctive aesthetic language built around natural textures, sophisticated finishes and carefully curated colour palettes.

The new model will make its global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, taking place from 8 to 13 September 2026, where it will be displayed at the Invictus Yacht stand in the Vieux Port, PAN 224-015. The shipyard will also showcase the TT550, TT460, TT420 and GT320.

A New Chapter for Atelier Invictus

The success of the Invictus ST550 and TT550 has strengthened the brand’s position in the international premium yachting market and opened the door to a new phase in its development.

According to Rosario Alcaro, CEO of Aschenez Group, which also encompasses the Capoforte and Marcopolo brands, the ST550 Deep Horizon represents an important step in the evolution of Invictus’ offering. At the heart of this evolution is Atelier Invictus, the brand’s creative and design laboratory dedicated to developing increasingly sophisticated customisation solutions.

The ST550 Deep Horizon embodies this approach by reinterpreting one of the shipyard’s most representative models through a combination of bespoke materials, exclusive finishes and tailor-made aesthetic and functional details.

Fabio Rotella and the Philosophy of “Quiet Luxury”

The collaboration with Fabio Rotella builds on a design research path previously explored with the TT460 Shell Edition. Together, Atelier Invictus and Rotella investigated new approaches to materials, finishes and visual identity, seeking to combine contemporary design with the craftsmanship and customisation capabilities of the Invictus brand.

For Rotella, the yacht is much more than an extension of a living space. It is an environment that interacts continuously with nature, responding to water, wind and light.

This philosophy has resulted in an interpretation of “quiet luxury”—one that avoids unnecessary excess and instead places the emphasis on proportion, authentic materials, refined details and the quality of the spaces.

The sensory experience is central to the concept. Natural colours and balanced palettes create a visual connection with the surrounding environment, while tactile surfaces and carefully selected materials add depth and character. The result is an atmosphere designed to encourage a seamless dialogue between design, nature and wellbeing.

Materials, Light and the Sea

The name Deep Horizon reflects the central inspiration behind the project: the horizon and its relationship with the sea.

Rather than treating the sea simply as a backdrop, the design incorporates it as a defining element of the onboard experience. Natural woods, tactile surfaces and exclusive fabrics developed specifically for the project create interiors that combine warmth, sophistication and timeless appeal.

Light plays an equally important role. Carefully considered lighting enhances the textures of the materials, amplifies the perception of space and creates different atmospheres throughout the day.

The bathrooms become particularly striking architectural features. The guest bathroom is finished in Silk Georgette, while the master bathroom features Portoro Gold, highlighting Atelier Invictus’ continued exploration of sophisticated materials and artisanal craftsmanship.

The design philosophy extends naturally to the exterior spaces. High-performance technical fabrics developed exclusively for the Deep Horizon project feature original patterns and establish a visual continuity between the interior and exterior areas.

At 16.87 metres in length and 5.04 metres in beam, the ST550 is built around the concept of “Space”, with generous volumes and fluid connections between indoor and outdoor areas. Its design maintains key Invictus characteristics, including the brand’s distinctive semi-reverse bow, while placing a renewed emphasis on the relationship between the yacht and the sea.

Atelier Invictus: Where Craftsmanship Meets Innovation

Material research remains one of the defining pillars of Atelier Invictus.

According to Paolo Avellone, Head of Atelier Invictus, the collaboration with Fabio Rotella provided an important source of inspiration for the development of new materials, finishes and components capable of expressing the identity of the Deep Horizon.

Atelier Invictus brings together specialists from fields including fashion and industrial design, working alongside the shipyard’s technical teams to translate creative concepts into practical, high-quality solutions.

The approach reflects a broader evolution within the luxury yachting industry, where personalisation has become an increasingly important element of a yacht’s identity.

For the ST550 Deep Horizon, fabrics and leathers have been developed in dedicated configurations, while signature Invictus elements—including the characteristic buckles on the backrests—have been retained and subtly enhanced with the Invictus logo.

The attention to detail continues throughout the interiors. Natural stones are complemented by customised bathroom fittings featuring anthracite finishes, while the lighting system has been specifically developed to create soft, welcoming environments across the yacht, including the lower-deck spaces.

Even the exterior colour scheme was the result of detailed aesthetic research. The Deep Horizon features a cool grey hull paired with a pearlescent white deck, creating a sophisticated contrast that reinforces the yacht’s contemporary character.

World Premiere in Cannes

The Invictus ST550 Deep Horizon will be unveiled to the international public during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, from 8–13 September, at the Invictus Yacht stand in the Vieux Port, PAN 224-015.

Alongside the new Deep Horizon, visitors will have the opportunity to explore four additional models from the Invictus range: the TT550, TT460, TT420 and GT320.

Following its Cannes debut, the ST550 Deep Horizon will continue its international showcase at the Genoa International Boat Show 2026, taking place from 1–6 October, where it will be displayed at the Invictus Yacht stand on Bachina B, stand A22.
