Istanbul, Turkey – Numarine has unveiled five distinct interior concepts for its new Classic Line, introducing a diverse range of design approaches for the Turkish shipyard’s latest generation of long-range superyachts.

First presented to the industry in the spring with the launch of the 38XPC and 39MXPC, the Classic Line combines the autonomy, practicality and ocean-going capability of Numarine’s proven explorer platforms with a more timeless and sophisticated design language.

For the interiors, Numarine has brought together five internationally acclaimed studios under the “Numarine Atelier” initiative: Hot Lab of Italy, Ofist of Türkiye, Vallicelli Design of Italy, Sturge & Toth of the UK and Austria, and Carla Guilhem Design of the United States. The exterior design of the Classic Line is by Can Yalman, while naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini.

Rather than interpreting “classic” as a nostalgic reference to the past, Numarine has used the concept to create elegant, enduring proportions and a refined exterior character while preserving the functionality, comfort and exploratory capabilities that define its yachts.

Five Visions of Contemporary Life at Sea

While Numarine provides the engineering, platform, capability and underlying philosophy of the yachts, each of the five studios has been given the freedom to develop its own interpretation of life aboard the Classic Line.

The result is not simply five variations of the same interior. Each concept reflects the studio’s individual cultural influences, approach to proportion, material selection and understanding of contemporary living, while remaining firmly rooted in the architecture and DNA of the Classic Line.

The five designs demonstrate how the same yacht platform can accommodate markedly different lifestyles and aesthetic preferences without compromising the identity of the Numarine brand.

Materials That Create Genuine Individuality

Material selection is central to the differences between the five concepts. Rather than imposing a single Numarine palette, the shipyard gave each studio considerable creative freedom to develop its own combination of woods, stones, textiles, metals and tactile finishes.

The resulting palettes vary considerably. Some concepts favour warmer, more natural environments, while others take a more architectural or contemporary approach. Across all five, however, there is a consistent emphasis on authentic materials, high-quality craftsmanship and finishes suited to yachts designed for extended periods at sea.

This approach is intended to give owners meaningful choice from the outset. Rather than offering little more than alternative colour schemes, Numarine is presenting five genuinely different design directions that can serve as creative starting points for individual yachts.

Understated Luxury with a Focus on Livability

Despite their contrasting visual identities, the five interiors share a number of principles that unite the Classic Line.

At the heart of the design philosophy is livability. These yachts are intended to be experienced and enjoyed rather than simply admired. As a result, comfort, circulation, storage, functionality and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces play a central role in each concept.

Timelessness is another defining characteristic. Each interior has its own personality, but none relies heavily on short-lived design trends. Instead, the concepts aim to retain their appeal over the long term.

The same philosophy extends to luxury itself. Rather than relying on overt displays of opulence, the interiors create a sense of refinement through intelligent use of space, proportion, natural materials, light and craftsmanship, together with the overall feeling experienced by guests during extended time on board.

A Holistic Approach to Wellness

Numarine has also developed an optional wellness package for the bathrooms of its Classic Line yachts, bringing together technology and natural elements to support physical and mental wellbeing at sea.

The concept incorporates features such as circadian lighting, purified air, mineral-rich water, infrared sauna technology, cold therapy and restorative shower experiences. These elements are integrated into the yacht rather than treated as a conventional spa installation.

The objective is to create a holistic wellness environment designed to enhance sleep, energy, recovery and overall quality of life on board.

Explorer Capability Without Compromise

For Classic Line exterior designer Can Yalman, the evolution of the explorer yacht is fundamentally about how the vessel can be used rather than simply how it looks.

“For us, explorer capability is not a styling exercise. It is about how and where you can use the yacht. The Classic Line retains the qualities that are fundamental to Numarine: autonomy, comfort for extended cruising, generous volumes, practical spaces and a strong connection with the sea. The difference is the way those capabilities are expressed aesthetically. The exterior design brings a more timeless character, while the interiors take the idea one step further.”

Yalman adds that the five Numarine Atelier concepts demonstrate how an explorer yacht can support very different lifestyles.

“Through five very different design languages expressed through the ‘Numarine Atelier’, we can demonstrate that an explorer yacht does not have to prescribe a particular lifestyle or aesthetic. You can have genuine explorer capability combined with a very sophisticated, contemporary or residential environment.”

He describes the approach as an important evolution of the explorer yacht concept, allowing owners to travel farther without having to compromise on how they want to live once they arrive.

Numarine Broadens the Classic Line’s Appeal

The Classic Line has already generated an encouraging response from the market, according to Patrik von Sydow, CEO of Numarine.

“The initial response to this Classic Line has been very encouraging, particularly because the Classic Line introduces Numarine to owners who may appreciate our philosophy and capabilities but are looking for a different aesthetic expression.”

Von Sydow believes the Numarine Atelier initiative will further strengthen the appeal of the new line by allowing prospective owners to see how dramatically the same platform can be transformed through different design approaches.

“It allows potential owners to see how differently the same platform can be interpreted and makes the yacht much more personal from the very beginning of the ownership journey.”

Rather than asking clients to imagine what a customised yacht might look like, Numarine is providing five distinct creative starting points. The shipyard believes this strategy will make the Classic Line relevant to a broader spectrum of tastes and international markets while preserving a clear Numarine identity.

With the new line, Numarine is effectively expanding the definition of its explorer yacht — combining long-range capability and autonomy with a greater degree of personal expression, contemporary design and residential comfort.

As the Classic Line enters the new show season, the shipyard is now looking to demonstrate how far its explorer yacht philosophy can evolve while remaining true to its core DNA.
