Cervia, Italy – TYKUN is set to unveil its new flagship, the TYKUN XII, at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, marking the world premiere of a larger and more versatile supertender that combines military-derived engineering with luxury cruising capabilities.

Following the successful debut of the TYKUN X at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, the new TYKUN XII is currently under construction on Italy’s Adriatic coast and represents the next evolution of the brand’s range. Designed to serve as a high-performance chase boat, luxury yacht tender, dayboat and sophisticated weekender, the 12.9-metre flagship is engineered to deliver speeds of more than 50 knots while offering increased range, onboard comfort and extensive customisation.

Developed by MED Group, a specialist in vessels for navies, civil enforcement agencies and special forces, the TYKUN XII retains the all-aluminium construction and military-grade engineering that distinguish the TYKUN X. Its design was created by architect Tommaso Spadolini, based on a concept developed with engineer and yachting consultant Benedetta Iovane, while the hull and structural design were developed by Professor Carlo Bertorello.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of the modern supertender, combining high-speed performance and exceptional seaworthiness with a more refined approach to onboard living.

“The TYKUN XII stays true to what makes TYKUN unmistakable: military-grade performance paired with genuine everyday comfort, while giving owners more room to live on board and maintaining the meticulous attention to detail that defines every TYKUN project,” said Benedetta Iovane.

The new flagship will be offered in Low Bow and High Bow configurations, allowing owners to tailor the boat to different cruising requirements.

The Low Bow version features a walkaround layout with an open-plan cabin, a separate bathroom and a forward cockpit with dedicated seating and dining space. The High Bow configuration adopts a non-walkaround layout, creating additional interior volume and a more spacious living environment, while offering an expansive forward sunpad.

At the stern, fold-down bulwarks extend the cockpit into a generous beach terrace with direct access to the water, further enhancing the boat’s versatility for leisure and watersports activities.

Below deck, the extended hull provides a choice of accommodation layouts, including a French bed, V-berth or convertible saloon. A separate bathroom with shower, extensive storage and dedicated on-deck lockers for watersports equipment further underline the TYKUN XII’s suitability for extended weekend cruising.

“Our goal was to retain the strong, recognisable character of the TYKUN range while taking advantage of the additional volume to improve onboard comfort and versatility,” said Tommaso Spadolini. “The result is a boat that remains dynamic and purposeful, yet offers a more refined cruising experience.”

Performance remains at the heart of the TYKUN XII. The boat is built around MED Group’s proven military-derived aluminium hull, incorporating stepped geometry designed to enhance high-speed efficiency, a hybrid fender system and a raised bow profile aimed at improving comfort and safety in challenging sea conditions.

Power comes from a choice of twin outboard engine configurations rated at 2 x 400 hp, 2 x 450 hp or 2 x 600 hp, enabling the TYKUN XII to reach a top speed of more than 50 knots.

Long-range cruising capability is supported by twin fuel tanks with a combined capacity of up to 1,300 litres, while freshwater capacity reaches 300 litres. The combination of generous tankage and the boat’s high-performance hull is designed to provide extended autonomy when operating away from the mothership, reinforcing its dual role as a superyacht tender and high-performance weekender.
