Genoa, Italy – Videoworks has completed a comprehensive audiovisual and connectivity refit aboard the 60-metre motor yacht Eleni, originally delivered by CRN in 2011 and now operating in the charter market. Carried out at Amico & Co in Genoa, the project focused on upgrading the yacht’s AV, audio and IT infrastructure, with the aim of enhancing onboard entertainment, improving connectivity and creating a more seamless experience for charter guests.
The refit builds on an initial upgrade carried out approximately two years ago and introduces a series of targeted technological improvements designed to boost performance while simplifying system control.
Enhanced Audio Across Outdoor Spaces
One of the key elements of the project was the complete renewal of the audio system serving Eleni’s outdoor guest areas, including the beach area, main deck, jacuzzi and bar. The upgraded speakers and amplification system now deliver greater clarity and more consistent sound coverage across the yacht’s open-air spaces.

A new multi-zone audio distribution system allows guests to enjoy independent music in individual areas or synchronize playback throughout multiple spaces using a dedicated “Party Mode.” Thanks to Sono’s technology, guests can also stream music directly from their personal devices via AirPlay, providing an intuitive and flexible entertainment experience suited to both private cruising and charter operations.
“A new multi-zone audio distribution system allows guests to enjoy independent listening in each area or synchronized playback across multiple spaces via ‘Party Mode.’ Music can be streamed directly from personal devices through AirPlay using Sono’s technology, offering a smooth and intuitive onboard experience tailored to both private cruising and charter use,” said Riccardo Marzioli, Videoworks System Engineer for the project.
A Cinema Experience at Sea
The visual highlight of the refit is the installation of a 115-inch Samsung Micro RGB display in the upper-deck saloon. Designed to deliver a cinema-style viewing experience as well as an impressive platform for live sporting events, the large-format screen brings the feel of a premium home cinema into a spacious and social onboard environment — an especially attractive feature for charter guests.
Elsewhere on the yacht, televisions in the cabins and main saloons have been replaced with latest-generation models. While retaining the original screen dimensions, the new displays provide significant improvements in picture quality and overall performance.

A dedicated “Sports Bar” function has also been introduced in the two main saloons and the owner’s suite. The feature allows video content to remain on screen while independent background music plays, creating a relaxed and versatile lounge environment ideal for social gatherings and entertainment.
“This flexible configuration creates a relaxed lounge atmosphere, ideal for social occasions onboard,” said Alessio Musetti, Videoworks’ Yachting Service and Refit Manager.
Seamless Connectivity Throughout the Yacht
Connectivity was another central focus of the refit. Before installing the new infrastructure, Videoworks conducted a detailed analysis of Wi-Fi coverage throughout the yacht. Based on the resulting signal mapping, additional access points were installed in areas with weaker coverage, eliminating dead zones and ensuring reliable, high-performance connectivity across the vessel.

The upgraded network integrates with Eleni’s existing Starlink system and has been designed with future expansion in mind. Dedicated cabin networks have also been introduced, providing guests with greater privacy and enabling personalized streaming and a more independent digital experience.
Smarter, Simpler Control
The refit was completed with a full redesign of the yacht’s iPad Graphical User Interface (GUI), supported by updated iPad devices. The new interface features simplified navigation and a refreshed layout, allowing guests and crew to intuitively manage a wide range of onboard functions, including television, audio, lighting, blinds and climate control.
By streamlining access to the yacht’s integrated technology, the redesigned GUI reduces the need for crew assistance while creating a more modern and premium user experience.
Although the project involved targeted technological upgrades rather than major structural changes, the refit demonstrates how carefully selected AV and IT improvements can significantly enhance comfort, entertainment and operational efficiency onboard.

“The partnership between Amico & Co and Videoworks has been built over many years of delivering complex refit projects together. On M/Y Eleni, we successfully met demanding deadlines while seamlessly integrating new technologies with meticulous attention to detail. The result is a refit completed to the highest standards and, above all, a highly satisfied owner,” said Jacopo Parisi, Project Manager at Amico & Co.
Following the completion of the refit, M/Y Eleni now offers a sophisticated, charter-ready environment combining immersive large-format entertainment, flexible multi-zone audio, seamless connectivity and intuitive digital control.
“Videoworks has supported this yacht since its early days, always building with the future in mind. Their ability to integrate new technologies while respecting our budget and operational needs has been outstanding. The results exceeded our expectations: exceptional sound, outstanding picture quality and an incredibly immersive onboard experience — the owner couldn’t be happier. Beyond the technology itself, it has been their collaborative approach and attention to detail that have made working with Videoworks a real pleasure,” said Captain Michael Hole, Master of M/Y Eleni (CRN 60M).
