La Spezia, Italy – D-Marin, the premium marina network in the Mediterranean, has officially unveiled Marina Livorno, an ambitious development set to reshape the Tuscan coastline through sustainability, innovation and seamless integration with the urban fabric.
Developed in partnership with the Azimut|Benetti Group, construction began in September 2025 and is progressing at a steady pace, with completion scheduled for autumn 2027.

Marina Livorno marks a key milestone in D-Marin’s expansion in Italy, strengthening its footprint alongside established destinations such as Punta Faro, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello, Marina degli Aregai and Marina di San Lorenzo. Strategically located at the gateway to Tuscany, its islands and the Corsican coast, the marina will serve as an exclusive new starting point for exploring the Mediterranean.
A symbol of sustainability for Livorno
Designed by Florence-based architecture firm Marco Casamonti / Archea Associati, the €20 million project embraces a circular, low-impact environmental approach. Solar canopies, rainwater recovery systems, green walls and natural elements replace traditional fencing, ensuring the marina blends harmoniously into its surroundings. These features reflect D-Marin’s ongoing commitment to responsible marina management, recently recognized with the EcoVadis Gold Award for ESG performance.
Smart, premium and welcoming
Once completed, Marina Livorno will offer 815 berths for yachts ranging from 15 to 80 meters, with the first 336 berths becoming operational in 2026. Guests will benefit from 24/7 security, concierge services, fine dining options, a curated selection of boutiques and D-Marin’s full suite of digital solutions. These include smart pedestals with real-time consumption monitoring and remote control via the D-Marin App. The marina will also join the “Happy Berth Days” loyalty program, granting seven complimentary days across D-Marin’s premium marina network.

“Marina Livorno embodies our belief that premium yachting and environmental responsibility can—and must—go hand in hand,” said Andrea De Santis, Chief Operating Officer of D-Marin. “This marina has been designed not only for yacht owners, but for the entire Livorno community: a place where innovation, sustainability and the city’s spirit come together.”
Reconnecting Livorno with the sea
Beyond the marina itself, the project aims to restore Livorno’s historic relationship with the waterfront. The Bacino Piccolo will be transformed into a vibrant water square, while the Molo Mediceo will be opened to the public with accessible quays, green areas, leisure spaces, dedicated parking and a waterfront promenade extending into the heart of the historic port. Improvements to traffic flow will also allow the swing bridge to remain open more frequently, enhancing access for residents and visitors alike.
With Marina Livorno, D-Marin opens a new chapter in its mission to elevate the Mediterranean yachting experience—combining digital innovation, sustainability and community engagement to create a marina that fully embodies the essence of luxury yachting.
